Program Description:

The Nursing Assistant Training Program consists of 160 hours of classroom, skills lab and clinical instruction designed to prepare qualified individuals to become safe and competent Nursing Assistants in a variety of health-care facilities. Upon completion of the program, the students receive a Certificate of Completion of the Nursing Assistant Program and become eligible to take the Competency Evaluation Program Testing conducted by the American Red Cross, an approved testing vendor of the Department of Public Health.

Admission Requirements

Each applicant must:

Be at least 16 years of age.
Submit a completed Application for Admission which includes:
- Proof of twelfth grade (12 th ) education or its equivalent (a high school diploma or a GED equivalent).
- A completed medical examination report which includes, complete physical exam, TB clearance, and required immunizations (MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B) signed by physician or nurse practitioner.
- Copy of current Driver's License or CA ID and Social Security Card.
- Pay non refundable registration fee of $75.00.
Complete finger print thru Live Scan method arranged by the school.
Attend scheduled orientation (see attached schedule).

Career Opportunities

Entry level employment opportunities are available at Nursing and Personal Care facilities, hospitals, residential care facilities, temporary agencies, and Home Health-Care Services.
