Course Description:

This course offers an introduction to medical terms as used in the health professions through an analysis of their basic structure, prefix, suffix, root, connecting, combining forms , abbreviation, and analysis of a medical paper.  In addition, it provides opportunities for application of medical terminology , further development of skill in analyzing components of medical terms, and learning medical vocabulary applicable to specialties of medicine.

Who should take this class?

Students about to enter into or currently enrolled in Vocational Nursing and Registered Nursing Programs as well as other Allied Health Programs (Dental Assisting, Pharmacy Tech, etc).
